Our Programs

Meeting you every step of the way

We are a local non-profit serving hundreds of community friends and neighbors each year, helping them lead independent and healthy lives.

In addition to disability and educational services, our Military and Veterans Program provides emergency and holistic support for the often challenging transition from military service to civilian life.

Covering employment, housing, food security, healthcare, emergency events, and other essential needs, Easterseals Maine is proud to support you every step of the way.

Veteran Services

Creating a better future for Maine veterans starts here

We offer a number of services that veterans and their families may be eligible for, including emergency assistance for when you need it most.

Housing Stabilization

Though significant progress has been made in past decades, veterans continue to be at risk of homelessness. Following a Housing First model, we work with veterans who are currently unhoused or at risk of losing their home to secure safe and reliable accommodations, with an eye toward long-term stability.

Employment Services

Providing a foundation for meaningful employment is at the heart of what we do at Fedcap Veterans. In addition to connecting participants with well-paying jobs in industries such as manufacturing and healthcare, we offer career coaching, education, and skills training.

Financial Assistance

Unexpected expenses come up for everyone – but when you’re in the midst of rebuilding your life, the effects can be devastating. We offer emergency and short-term financial assistance to veterans experiencing hardship to cover groceries, rent, home repairs, and more.

Case Management

We’re committed to finding meaningful solutions to complex issues. When further services are required - such as healthcare or mental health counseling - we turn to our network of community partners to connect veterans with the support they need.

Events

Meet up. Have fun. Do good.

Attending a veterans event or fundraiser is a great way to support our mission while connecting with community members who are also passionate about honoring Maine’s veterans. We hope to see you there!
